Have been trying to connect with other amputees as I'm "sort of new" to this. I was in a motorcycle accident 10/18/07 and ended up with a R BKA . Healing the stump was/is problematic as I received massive doses of IV cortico steroids in an attempt to treat a suspected MS flare up (which wasn't after all). It's been almost a year now and I still have issues with blisters etc.
I really want to be a part community that I can relate to, that can share with me how to overcome certain setbacks etc. I also love to read and see uplifting stories and photos! I need y'all
I have my wife and two teenaged kids (a boy and a girl) and am incredibly grateful for their love and support over this traumatic time that' affected all of us in one way shape or form. The stress and demands continue but we keep pushing on. We all went to see my V-Rod which has been waiting to get restored. It looks like I took most of the damage and got the worst out of the deal. I sat on her with my pros and leaned her upright. Seems an air suspension is in order now along with and adjustment for the rear break lever.
I'll be ready to ride again come spring of '09 (God willing.)

Nice meeting you also. Just got home and am exhausted from the day. I am waiting to see if the 1/4 in lift will give me any problems.
