I'm a bi lateral BK. I was injured in Iraq in May 2005. I did 2 1/2 years of limb salvage, but went through the double BK amputation Jan 2008. I'm glad I did. My life is so much better now. Life is good. I work, I ride motorcycles, snowboard, go camping, boating, sit water ski, and a whole lot more. Looking to make friends and help anyone out that I can that may be new to amputation, especially military people. There is a ton of resources, you just have to ask.
