I first heard of this website on youtube and I thought it was a really neat idea. My name is Andrew, and I have Proximal Femoral Focal Deficiency, pffd. When I was one year old I had a Symes amputation on the right foot so that I can wear a prosthesis. As a child it did bother me as much in having an above the knee amputation. Oh yea, the anatomy of the deformed limb is in such a way that I have an above the knee amputation prosthesis.
I was really drawn to this site because I have noticed that although I have had a decent experience with crutches, prosthetics, and a residual limb, others have not. I would like to help others so that that can avoid mistakes i've made, and maybe pick up on some tips myself.
