Let's rock this place!

So, I've been on this site for a few months now, and I would really like to see this place take off. We have the ability to turn this social outlet into an awesome place for amputees to turn to, whether they have a question, or just want to hang out with people of similar situations. We are all different, but tied together in a unique bond that many will never understand. We all have our own experiences that others can learn from, and we may learn something ourselves while talking with others. I for one enjoy sharing my story, both about the accident, and also the struggles I've faced over the past 2 years. I think that by doing so, it helps me, but may also help someone else. I truly think that with everyone working together, we can make this the BEST amputee network available. We will be a network of amputees who want to help, not who feel required to help. Throw in a nice laid back, relaxing atmosphere and we got a great place to chill out at. What does everyone think?

I have had trouble with support groups where I am from, and I live in a large city. The trouble I have is with the time and place of them, they are rarely ever convenient for me. I have a large base of friends who I can talk to, but they dont always understand everything. Having people who have gone through, currently going through, or are about to go through similar events is a great asset to anyone. I have been through a lot in the 2 years since my accident, I am a LBK/RAK, and have spent many a moment figuring out how to do the same things I did before.

As for emotions, I have my moments where there are some tough times, but they have become few and far between.

I am here for anyone who may need someone to talk to, just hit me up through a message

I agree with you texasff! There are no active amputee support groups (that I can find) in Minnesota. I know only one other amputee here and we talk by phone - I am fortunate to know her.

Struggles....wow, have I had them and am still dealing with varied emotions about amputation overall (3/10/10 R BKA).

Yes! Let's rock this place!!!!!!!!!!
