Okay people what's up with the 3 car makers asking for help, THE BAIL-OUT is what they call it. Didn't we just have the same episode with the major banks couple of months ago. This is making our country look like we can't handle our business, it's like one of your kids getting in trouble all the time and you come to the rescue to save them. At what point do we say this is enough, I hear some people say let them fall on their butts and figure it out themselves. What about the little guys here, folks that can't pay their house notes and people needing help on main street. If our government does help them out, they really need to be right there with these C.E.O.s supervising the way the money should be used. To me this is looking like it will become an epidemic, the government bailing out the BIG BUSINESSES when they feel the need for help. WHAT ABOUT THE LITTLE GUYS.....?

The 3 major US auto makers have made bad business decisions, and if that causes their companies to fail, so be it--as harsh as that may sound. I know that tens of thousands of workers (in automotive & other industries) will lose their jobs. I'm no expert, but won't the Japanese, German & other auto makers just buy those plants & tool up to produce more Toyotas, Hondas, BMW's, VW's, etc. here in the US? Nor do I believe the US govt should bail out individual citizens who have made bad decisions like buying bigger houses than they can afford. The only way we can get where we need to be is for everyone--big business, small business & individuals--to accept responsibility for their own choices in life. It means we'll be in for more than a few rough years as everyone learns to operate within their means, but I believe it's necessary for our economy's long-term recovery.
