Hello everyone! i am new here and wanted to introduce myself. my name is april and i am a a/elbow amp. I was in a car wreck a few years ago and bam i am an amputee. Worse things could have happened to me though so i thank God for only taking the arm and letting me keep the rest. I am very independent and strong willed. hey I went to the river with my family for the first time and I must admit it was fun as hell.I was a slight bit scared at first but I got over it real quick.The river is much different then the beach,it was relaxing and calm,I was floating on a raft down the river me and my son,he was helping me paddle the raft.I did take my leg off I didn't want it to get to wet.There was so many folks on the river man I enjoyed it.I even got out of the raft and rode on a toob by myself.I am looking forward to... read more..
Check this out, I went on a jet ski, the kind you gotta kneel or stand on, not the kind that got a seat on it. Anyway, I got on this thing thinking that it would be no problem to pull myself onto. Didn't take into account that my prosthetic might get caught on the edge. So i get out on the water and get going. Try to pull myself up, my socket gets caught on the edge no big deal, I try again, socket gets caught. At this time everyone is watching me so I say to myself that im getting on this thing... read more..
IF you are a above the knee amputee... DONT GO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you will be spending 70$ to go on four rides and you cant go on any ANY rollercoasters/////... read more..
