Are we ready for a black president? Some people say yes and others say no,but is race really the main factor. It really shouldn't matter as long as that next president handles the major issues. For some reason we focus on nonsense instead of the important stuff. So if we do end up with a black president will this change america?

No one should be looking at color of skin of anyone there is no color in God's Eyes ! Obama's mother was White . I like Obama and I think he will be a Good President . If people want to vote for McCain just because hes White then they are in for a rudd awakeing . McCain will pickup right where Bush left off .McCains already stated that ! I dont like McCain or Phalin at all and we sure we dont need another Bush in office or we will be in BIG Trouble ! He and Phalin are out for the OIL bussiness just like Bush and Chaney was We do not need another BUSH in office thats whats put us in mess we are in now ! The Rich got richier and the poor got poorier Thats my opinion !

SO because we now have a black president the country "will change for the better"? What a crock. The best we can hope for is that the race-baiters like Je$$e Jack$on and Al Sharpton will stop labeling America as a racist nation.

Honestly, Kevin, I think the only thing we can count on is change--if this country doesn't change we're in for even more trouble than we've already gotten ourselves into! I don't think change will come just because we now have a black president; I think it will come because US citizens, Congress, and our president will together make it happen. I believe that Obama is our nation's best hope to bring opposing coalitions together to facilitate the necessary changes. Electing Obama has electrified the nation, and that now, even two weeks+ post-election, one can still feel the euphoria. This is the first presidential election I've ever felt that, and I can't wait for the inauguration! Of course change won't come instantly, but HOPE is already here.

I think to Many which they want Admitt it but I think they look at Color not the Person Obama is . And thats sad in this day and time ........ Obama's -- Mother , Grandmother,& Grandfather are White ! This is like People look at us and were no good were not whole cause we are have disabaties , ...have one leg or no legs no arms .... But we're still Human and have right to be treated as a whole person no matter what our disabilities are and no matter what our color is ...! Most dont Like Obama just because his Father is from Africa.
