Good Morning everyone Ive not been on for awhile now Ive been busy finally with my awesome New leg they say the third time is a Charm and I belive it is .I Finally found a good Proth. and got a great leg . Its all uphill from now on But i've stayed Postive with all i was dealing with with such bad leg and terible pain couldnt wear leg at all just to painful ..I didnt give up .,,,,,,, These others that told me id always have pain wearing leg and always would walk with Walker .......NOT TRUE !! NOT TRUE !!! if you have good leg you have no pain unless somethings wrong with your numb Ones leg should never hurt you if its made and fitts right on your numb . Wow I got my leg and three days later phy thpy. had me try quad cane and i started walking with a Quad Cane still walking with now . Wow its so awesome and Im blessed to have such good caring people I have great Proth. now . Ones that care about amputtes not just to get the money and make you just any old leg . As now its like ive started all over after 2 years losing my leg above knee so later as i progress with my walking I will get an even better leg . Also this past week My Grandson Dusty is MP in USArmy hes home from Korea . His tour is up in COLD Korea and will he be in USA for awhile . He leaves this saturday i will still miss him very much but proud he will stay in US for awhile , God Bless you all.... Many Blessings StarWolf

I am very glad to hear that your new leg is working for you. I am starting to think that as much as I like my prosthetist, I might have to find one who holds the same philosophy you do, that a leg should not only work well, but feel ok too. Thanks for reminding me that I have options. Star :

I am still relatively new to being an amputee.I use a company called Biotech. They started working with me early and was at my first dr. visit after amputation. My prothesis has never been a source of pain. They fitted it properly and taught me how to care for adjustment of stump socks.I have pain but not from the leg.I am a right below knee and havent used a cane or walker in months and was amputated on 3/31/09.By all means the prothesist is an important part of care.
